Fishing Reports

FirstPrevPage 1 of 30NextLast
We are approaching the arrival of our first storm of the hurricane season.  Thankfully it looks like we will be on the dry side of Barry as it is expected to make landfall to our east.  Fishing has been up and down the last several weeks.  We have moved into hot summer patterns where fish are feeding on reefs early and moving deep into the shipchannel seeking cooler water during the heat of the day.  The best bite has been early over reefs and also on flats adjacent to deep water throughout the day during a moving tide.  Soft plastics rigged on a 1/8 oz jighead, live pogies, mullet, and shrimp under a popping cork have been producing fish.  The jetties as well as near shore rigs are also holding fish when the conditions are right.  We still have at least two months of heat before we start seeing cooler temps.  Good luck out there and stay hydrated!
